Electronics & E-Waste Disposal in Dubai & UAE
TVs, computers, phones, printers and cabling collected from your door and routed through certified e-waste recycling.
Electronic waste is the fastest-growing waste stream in the world, and the UAE — with one of the highest rates of device replacement anywhere — produces a great deal of it. A single old monitor can contain lead; older screens contain mercury; batteries contain cadmium and lithium. Put in a general waste bin, all of it ends up somewhere it should not be.
Alpha Junk Removing collects electronic waste directly from homes and offices and routes it through certified recycling channels where the valuable material — copper, aluminium, gold, rare-earth magnets — is recovered and the hazardous fraction is handled under controlled conditions. That is a materially different outcome from a skip.
If the device still works, say so. Functioning laptops, phones, tablets and TVs have real onward value and can be refurbished rather than shredded. Where a device holds personal data, deal with that before it leaves your hands: back it up, sign out of your accounts, and perform a factory reset.

Before you hand over a device
Back up anything you want to keep. Sign out of accounts — particularly Apple ID and Google, since a locked device is much harder to refurbish. Perform a factory reset. Remove SIM and memory cards, which are easy to forget in a phone or camera. For desktops and laptops, the safest option is to remove the drive entirely and keep it, or ask us to arrange certified destruction.
Batteries need separate handling
Lithium-ion batteries are a genuine fire risk in general waste and in the back of a loaded truck. Swollen, leaking or physically damaged batteries must be flagged before collection so they can be packed and transported separately — please do not simply put them in a box with other items. Loose household batteries are fine in a sealed bag.
Dubai's e-waste rules in practice
Dubai Municipality operates collection points for household electronics and expects businesses to use licensed e-waste handlers rather than general waste for commercial volumes. Using a licensed service keeps you compliant, and for companies it produces the disposal record that an audit will ask for. Request documentation when you book if you need it on file.
